For agencies and service businesses
FaceTime Audio for business, with voice agents
Beam supports FaceTime Audio for business, including calls connected to voice agents. A dedicated business line keeps business conversations separate from a personal Apple ID. Plan the call, the reply owner and the follow-up text together.
Beam sends from dedicated business numbers. Beam is not affiliated with Apple.
Where FaceTime Audio fits
A customer may want to talk through an appointment or a quote before replying by text. Beam brings FaceTime Audio and messaging into the business workflow. Its API guide describes inbound calls routing to a team or voice agent and the caller identity connecting the call with the CRM contact.
| Capability | How to use it |
|---|---|
| FaceTime Audio | Connect a business call to your team or a voice agent. |
| iMessage, RCS and SMS | Continue the conversation through a supported messaging channel. |
| CRM workflow | Check that the call and follow-up belong to the intended contact. |
| MCP and OpenAPI | Connect authorized AI agents to the messaging workflow. |
Test a call and its follow-up
- Ask the Beam team to confirm FaceTime Audio and voice agent routing for your dedicated line.
- Place a test call from a device you control and confirm who answers.
- Check the matching contact and conversation before sending a follow-up.
- Reply to the text and confirm a teammate can continue the conversation.
For the CRM side, use the two way sync checklist. For a planned follow-up audience, review outbound texting.
Give the agent a defined role
Decide whether the voice agent answers questions, collects context or passes the conversation to a teammate. Treat the follow-up message as a separate action with an intended recipient and a reviewed purpose.
The Claude Code iMessage guide explains how to connect an authorized messaging agent. MCP access does not by itself establish a voice routing configuration.
Before you connect
Questions before you connect
Can Beam connect FaceTime Audio to voice agents?
Yes. Beam supports FaceTime Audio, including connections to voice agents. Confirm the routing for your dedicated business line with the team before rollout.
Do I use my personal Apple ID?

Can I follow a call with a text?
Beam supports outbound texting over iMessage, RCS and SMS. Check the intended contact, channel and delivery result when testing a call follow-up.
